Hello ,
First time poster and I should start with apologies as I am writing in English not in Dutch.
I am an axpat in the NL and today I found a very nice Corvette C5. I would like to collect any feedback on this topic before purchasing this C5.
I found this 2003 model year C5, with only 34000km. The owner also owns a 76 model year C3 and might be a member of this froum. The car is in the Limburg area and owned by a 75 year young person. I think the car sits for the last 15 years and driven rarely. He is the second owner. I saw the car today, and looks like a solid one. It has low milage, underneath of the car is pretty clean and tidy no leakage, no rust, all electornics are working fine, headlights are working fine, and no leakage under even heavy rain (today I drove the car under heavy rain and it does not leak at all.) However I noticed Harmonic Balancer wobbles, and even though all tyres look new, they are 10 years old and must be changed. The owner is quite persistant with the selling price and won't even go down 1 cent. He asks 32500 euro. I do not mind paying an extra couple of thousand euros if it is trouble free, but I want to consult the onwers here and appreciate any feedback. What do you think about this car? I think it is a bit expensive but still would like hear any comments. Also I wonder if is there any person here who is a daily commuter. I have a flexible jon and make 8K-10K in a year. I know considering the fuel cost here, it is a very much emotional decision. Thanks in advance.. Cheers!
